In collaboration with VMS Society, bringing up a state-of-the-art hospital in Bemina, Srinagar. Scheduled to provide subspeciality services like Cardiac Sciences, Intensive Care etc, in two years’ time.

Chairman

A Medical Otorhinolaryngologist. He has done M.B.B.S., D.L.O, M.S. (Otorhinolaryngology), F.I.C.S, D.M.A, W.H.O Fellow. Ex Professor and Head Department of Otorhinolaryngology, Government Medical College, Srinagar, Ex- Chief Consultant Ear, Nose & Throat diseases, SMHS Hospital and Associated Hospitals Srinagar Kashmir, Ex-Chief Neuro-otology at Speech and Hearing Centre S.M.H.S. Hospital Srinagar, Ex-Professor of ENT SKIMS Medical College, and was invited as Professor ENT, King Abdul Aziz University Hospital Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. He is also the founder and President of Voluntary Medicare Society J&K an NGO since 1970. Author of books like “Textbook of Ear, Nose and Throat Diseases”,“Multiple Choice questions” booklet for Otorhinolaryngology, Booklet on “Syndromes in Otorhinolaryngology” and has over sixty-five papers on different medical entities published in many Reputed foreign and Indian Medical journals.

Dr. Altaf Bukhari

Consultant CARDIAC ANESTHESIOLOGIST

A Consultant Cardiac Anesthesiologist at King Fahd Medical City (KFMC) Riyadh. He has headed the Department of Cardiac Anesthesia for four years and was instrumental in setting it up. He is a member of JK Hope and Health Foundation (JKHHF),working to help and support high quality referral healthcare services to underprivileged sections of the society with care and compassion. He has previously worked as a Clinical Fellow in Cardiac Anesthesia and Intensive Care at Manchester Royal Infirmary, University of Manchester, UK, Cardiac Anesthesiologist and Perioperative Echocardiographer at King Fahd Medical City, Attending Consultant Cardiac Anesthesiologist at Escorts Heart Institute and Research Center (EHIRC), registrar and postgraduate resident Anesthesiologist at Sheri Kashmir Institute of Medical Sciences (SKIMS) Srinagar.

Dr. Mushtaq Margoob

PSYCHIATRIST, Co-principal Investigator/Researcher

Former Professor & Head, Post Graduate Department of Psychiatry, Government Medical College, Srinagar and Director, Institute of Mental Health and Neuroscience, Srinagar, Kashmir is an internationally recognized expert in humanitarian emergencies and disaster mental health. Dr. Margoob’s innovative research work for over more than four decades encompasses a wide range of topics in the neuropsychiatric field. He is on the Editorial board of a few leading international and national journals. Dr Margoob is a member/fellow of several international professional bodies. In Kashmir, he is known for his professional leadership and outstanding contribution in transforming the most stigmatized and neglected sole psychiatric service setup to the present advanced territory care Mental Health treatment and research Institute (IMHANS). As a clinician, Dr. Margoob has provided more than half a million psychiatric consultations/counselling to suffering masses in the community, Government hospital settings and in his private centre over past 40 years. His innovative self-reliant psychosocial/psychiatric intervention model for disaster survivors in impoverished regions of the world has been appreciated globally across all professional levels. He continues to spend most of his time with different stakeholders in the community for promotion of mental health and prevention/treatment of mental health problems.

ER. Mushtaq Ahmad

VMSSH BOARD MEMBER

Er. Mushtaq Ahmad Malik has 36 years of service experience serving various positions in the state departments of J&K. He has also worked as an engineering expert in the state vigilance organization and has also worked on various multi-crore state mega flood control projects. He, as a philanthropist, also has a working experience of more than 20 years in the field of disability. He is currently the treasurer of Voluntary Medicare Society and a member Governing Body of VMSSH

Dr. Enayat Ali Pandit

CONSULTANT RHEUMATOLOGY & INTERNAL MEDICINE

A medical practitioner, whose aim is to ensure sound health and safety of the public. He holds MBBS, BLDE from Medical College Karnataka, Dharwad University and MD-Medicine from Government Medical College, Srinagar. He also holds EULAR Rheumatology certificate and has passed Saudi Commission for Health Specialties examination with fellowship in Rheumatology from Medanta Medical City, Gurugram.  He has worked as an Assistant Consultant Rheumatology in Department of Medicine KSMC Riyadh and is currently working as a Consultant Rheumatology and Internal Medicine Noora Hospital Srinagar J&K.

Er. Vaqar Gani

Er Vaqar Gani Tantray is a Biomedical Informatics Scientist-C at Sher-I-Kashmir Institute of Medical Sciences, Soura, Srinagar, Jammu &Kashmir, and a Co-Founder of JK Hope & Health Foundation (JKHHF). He has done M-Tech in Biomedical Informatics from SRM, Chennai, Tamil Nadu, and PG Diploma in Data sciences
During the covid times, he, along with Doctors’ Group (Kashmir Healthcare Support Group) initiated a programme – ‘Dial a doctor’ – under which a helpline no. was established for on call consultations of Covid and Non Covid patients. He has been instrumental in providing logistic support in J&K to families of underprivileged Kids of the state going outside J&K for open heart surgeries, sponsored through JKHHF.
